Chapters Books and Coffee is a cozy independent bookstore and coffee shop located in the heart of downtown Newberg, Oregon. We strive to be a welcoming and safe space for everyone to enjoy a quiet morning with a drink and a book or to meet up with old friends. We sell new and used books of all genres - fiction, children and youth, fantasy, outdoors, religion, self-help, cooking, sustainability, and more.

We serve Bespoken and Caravan - amazing, local roasters who set the standard for ethics and quality in the coffee industry. We take pride in the quality of beverages we serve, highlighting the espresso and steaming the milk consistently, producing excellent cups of coffee.

 Within our store we regularly stock cards and gifts from local makers and artists. We encourage our customers to shop locally, and can usually order anything we don't have on hand, getting it to you within a few days - both books and special coffees!

The Owners

Bill and Maureen Rogers

In April of 2005 Bill and Maureen Rogers bought Chapters from the previous owners, Brent and Polly Peterson. Maureen had been working as the book manager for the store at the time, and her children, Courtney and Cole, were baristas. After buying Chapters, Bill and Maureen brought their oldest daughter Meghan in to help manage. Courtney and Cole continued to work as baristas, and Lisby, Bill and Maureen's youngest daughter, was also brought in as a barista. It is truly a family owned business.
